Angel Locsin (b-April 23, 1985-) or Angelica Locsin Colmenares, is a Filipina television and film actress and a commercial model. She was widely known as the superheroine "Darna", in a TV adaptation of Mars Ravelo's comic book character, and was often cast as the love interest of either Richard Gutierrez or Dennis Trillo.
The second child in a brood of three, Angel was raised in Santa Maria, Bulacan. She's been living with her father, Angel Colmenares, ever since her parents were separated when she was only fourteen years old. Her career began when she once cut classes with her friends to go shopping at an SM Mall and was spotted by a talent scout. Angel auditioned for several commercials until she finally landed a contract with GMA Network.
Locsin was first introduced in Click, a youth-oriented TV show of GMA Network. She played the tomboyish Charley (short for Charlotte), the twin sister of Enzo (Richard Gutierrez) and the love interest of Emil (Brian Revilla). Angel became widely known when she first appeared as the cover girl of FHM and when the said magazine frequently included her in its lists of the "100 Sexiest Women in the World".
